Gen. Douglas MacArthur Lodge 853 from Sacramento, California, donated two complete sets of computers, 400 pieces of school bags with school supplies, 200 pairs of slippers and snacks to Abar 1st Elementary School on January 21, 2020 at Abar 1st ES, San Jose City to support the Brigada Eskwela 2020 and pupils’ education and learning.
“Access
to computers such as ability to view, share or print a specific file and
knowing how to use the computer is essential for effective education,
especially when it is done hands-on or through practical,” Worshipful Master
Gen. Douglas MacArthur Lodge 853 Robert Bondoc said.
With a
clear vision, he said the education and well-being of the students are their
utmost concern why they are helping the schools.
“You
know we have to hands, one is for your greatness to help you own self and the
second one is delegated to help others” he added.
In
attendance during the turnover ceremony on Tuesday were Dr. Ruth B. Dela Cruz,
Principal II of A1ES; School’s President of Teachers Association Veronica
Cabatit; teachers and staffs and Gen. Douglas MacArthur Lodge 853 mason
members.
“I am
thanking them for their generosity and we really appreciate their
organization’s donation. It is also a great pleasure to us here in the school
because we are graced by these blessings. This will help our pupils a lot when
it comes to ICT and their support helps to further our mission as educators,”
Dr. Dela Cruz said.
The said charity organization marked its 10th
year anniversary on May 30, 2020 and still thinking of ways to help the school
someday.
It is also the goal of their organization to take good
care of their charity and make it better and building a strong moral character
in its members.
