Tiny but Deadly

Dengue is a fatal disease carried and transmitted by mosquitoes that can cause death. Everyone can be infected even if you’re young or old, poor or rich. It’s not choosing or picking its victim but it’s not a contagious disease and if the victim is treated early, he/she will survive.

To prevent dengue, we should keep our environment clean. We should also wipe out the breeding place of mosquitoes by spraying insecticide to all breeding place, eliminate things which hold water like old tires, flower vases and flower pots. We should also use protective clothing, bed nets and mosquito repellents if needed. Make it a habit to take a bath every day. Experts found out that untidy persons are more attractive to mosquitoes. Strengthen our immune system by eating healthy foods like fruits and vegetables.

Until now, there is still no immediate cure that has been found by experts, but there’s a way to treat the dengue victim and be cured back to normal health. Drinking “tawa-tawa” tea can help, it has been proven by many but it’s not prescribed by doctors and is still considered as an alternative or herbal medicine.
